I recently wrote this editorial research article based on my study and research on the Lincoln assassination. Don't ask me why. I don't do this for schooling, I do it for fun!

It finally stopped snowing!
January is kind of a paradox to me, I usually get this total cruddy-depressed feeling every year when Christmas and the girls' birthdays are over, and it's still the middle of winter. I feel often as if there is nothing to look forward to and want nothing else than to crawl inside a cocoon of sorts. Yet, January is also a beautiful month in itself, as these pictures can attest. I love looking out and seeing the gentle white blanket of snow, and that soft blue-grey glow on a winter morning. I am truly thankful to God for placing me in an area where we can enjoy such a gorgeous variety of seasons.
I hope everyone is starting their New Year off happy and well! Although, I no longer believe in New Year's resolutions because, like our church pastor said recently, no one keeps them anyway, and it's just another marketing ploy. We all feel sluggish and chunky after all the Christmas feasting, and so the stores sell Jillian Michaels DVD's and exercise equipment to cash in on our guilt. If it worked, sheesh, they'd sell all year long! Paradoxically, the stores also sell Valentine's Day candy, for those like me who are still having trouble getting off the sugar high. :0
